This would be a great way for the safari to earn funds for upkeep. I didn't see any remnants of corporate sponsors, etc. ![]() I am not sure if it was to discourage visitors from spending too long in the reptile house or what. ![]() It would have been okay, except it was the same three beats over and over. There was very loud jungle-themed music playing from the reptile house that could be heard throughout the park. The saddest were two large parrots living in cages in the corner of a storage room. However, the building needed basic cleaning - there were spiderwebs on the floors, dirty glasses on the reptile cases and more. I understand the safari is likely operating on a very limited budget. However, the reptile area could use some very basic maintenance. I'm by no means someone who is overly concerned about animals in zoos, nor am I a member of PETA, etc. However, my last visit left me longing for more, and concerned about the animals - particularly the ones indoors and in cages. I've visited the Safari a few times over the past several years. We arrived at 1:45 and left at 4pm, I'm glad we decided to do the walk through first because it was extremely busy when we decided to leave the drive through. It can be as short as you like or as long, you choose. Considered one of the best 'hidden gems' of Huntsville, Harmony Park Safari lets visitors get up close and personal with a variety of exotic animals.Harmony. The ride through the park is on your own timing. The walk through isn't very handicapp or stroller friendly. If you like photography then you will have a lot of great fun photo ops during the walk through zoo. Harmony Park Safari is a drive-thru animal attraction in Huntsville. Liam and I visited a similar safari in our Fall O’Fun, but this one had a more swamp-like feel in the deep woods. They have several animals that are endangered species. Harmony Park is a drive thru safari experience where you can pet and feed exotic animals right in the comfort of your car. ![]() The walk through part of the safari was very interesting. You feed the animals out of the cups but hold on to your cup, they will try and take it from you. The girls were throwing the food out the window and the animals wasn't coming up to visit. We didn't quite figure out the use of the red solo cup you were given when purchasing food until over half way through the park. There were 4 in our car and we purchase 2 buckets of food at 5 dollars each. This was a great way to see all the animals up close and personal. We had just completed a badge on animal habitats in GS. They totally give you the stink eye if you didn’t toss their treats to them.We had a fabulous time today visiting all the animals. However I quickly learned that it’s a good rule. When I first read it I thought it was kind of odd. It says windows are only allowed to be rolled down 8 inches. It’s $6 a person and you have the option to buy a bucket of food. You should definitely buy the food. My oldest has started standing with his hands in his pockets. “YEAH reptiles!” One of the many reptiles I think you are supposed to save that for last but we did it in the beginning. When you first pull up you see the Reptile Room. Reptiles Kicking it off at the Reptile Room I mean, anything that requires you to stay in the car with the windows rolled up is a good thing, right?īecause, go air conditioning and all that. The Safari is a drive through animal park with things like mountain goats, zebras, ostrich, llamas, and deer. It’s not a petting zoo because you stay in the car but that’s okay. …it’s a bit of a drive from the city center. According to ye olde Mapquest it’s seventeen miles away from Little Rosies. And yes, I do judge everything by it’s proximity to Little Rosies. ![]() If you live in the Huntsville area you should definitely check out Harmony Park Safari.
